Trap. Neuter. Release. (TNR)

TNR and Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Release (TNVR) are two programs currently offered as voucher programs by Irving Animal Services.

The City of Irving has a vast population of feral cats. TNR is the solution on how to control that growing population.

Usually, the City of Irving offers a TNR program. Currently, this program is being suspended to prevent exposure of healthy cats to ongoing illnesses currently affecting the shelter. Luckily, the shelter does offer TNR vouchers. Residents are able to pick them up during business hours.

The voucher covers the spay/neuter, rabies vaccine, and the ear tip to no cost to the resident(s). These vouchers are through two separate companies and the surgeries are not performed at the animal shelter.
