Heritage District Redevelopment

Proud Past. Promising Future.

The Heritage District is a place with deep roots and untapped potential. Once the center of early growth in Irving, the district is now positioned for transformation into a vibrant destination for businesses, residents, and visitors. Recent improvements, like the reconstruction of Irving Boulevard, mark the beginning of a larger vision — one that connects people to local shops, dining, culture, and community spaces in a more welcoming and accessible environment. As redevelopment efforts continue, the Heritage District is set to become a thriving part of the city’s future while honoring the character that shaped its past.

Timeless Irving by Odessa Helm

The Heritage District Mural Project was completed in April 2025, transforming over 5,000 square feet of wall space on N O'Connor Rd. into a vibrant, welcoming gateway into the district.
