New City Utility Customers
New residential and commercial customers can apply in person at City Hall, 825 W. Irving Blvd., or online at MyIrvingBill.org.
Required documents:
- Deed or rental/lease agreement
- Driver's license or valid form of Identification
Allow one to three business days to process the request. If the request cannot be filled promptly, a Customer Service representative will contact the applicant with follow-up questions.
To receive same-day service, the application must be submitted with applicable deposits and fees paid by 3 p.m.
Additional Information
No one needs to be at the property when the service is activated, as long as all faucets are turned off there.
If the water meter is running when the technician activates service, the water will be shut off to protect against potential leaks that might damage the property. The technician will attempt to make contact at the door if this occurs.
If no contact is made, a notice will be posted on the front door requesting someone contact Water Utilities Customer Service to arrange a time to activate the service.
Customers can transfer existing services by completing a Request Form. Service transfers also can be made by calling Customer Service at (972) 721-2411 to transfer service.
Transfer requests will not be processed if the current account has a past due balance. In addition, a deposit may be required prior to transferring services to a new location.
