The City of Irving’s Ambassador Program is a strategic initiative designed to strengthen community engagement and enhance public service delivery through a network of trained local representatives. The City of Irving’s Ambassador Program builds on the success of the Irving 360 Academy by engaging its alumni to serve as community liaisons.

Who are Irving Ambassadors?

Ambassadors are trained representatives who drive outreach, foster engagement and strengthen connections between the city and its residents. The program specifically targets individuals who can connect with historically disengaged groups, ensuring that all community voices are heard and that city initiatives reach a broader audience.

What Do Irving Ambassadors Do?

Ambassadors participate in regular training and monthly meetings, equipping them with the knowledge and tools needed to effectively communicate the benefits of city services and events. Through coordinated outreach efforts and community events, the program has enhanced public engagement and helped bridge the gap between city leadership and residents.

Program Results

Since its inception, the Ambassador Program has engaged over 100 community leaders who have facilitated more than 50 neighborhood events and public forums. This proactive outreach has led to a measurable 15% increase in resident satisfaction with city communications, as feedback from ambassadors directly informs service improvements and policy adjustments. The initiative not only bolsters transparency but also streamlines the flow of critical information, ensuring that residents are well-informed and actively involved in shaping their community.
