Road Construction Updates


The City of Irving works hard to minimize the disruption caused by road construction and to keep everyone informed of construction projects, timelines and traffic flow.


While the traffic cones are a nuisance, construction means new and improved infrastructure, as well as community growth. Growth brings in the tax revenue needed to continue offering quality services and maintain Irving resident taxes and fees that are among the lowest in North Texas.

City Hall Parking Garage Repairs Begin in February

Visitors and employees who park in the City Hall parking garage, 825 W. Irving Blvd., should be on the lookout for construction beginning in February.

Esters Road to Reopen Late October

Construction of the Esters Road Pavement and Utility Improvement Project, located between the westbound service road of State Highway 183 and Twin Falls Street, will be substantially complete in late October.

Bridge Closure: Alan-A-Dale

Beginning Friday, Sept. 19, the bridge on Alan-A-Dale, between Nottingham Drive and Locksley Chase Drive, will close for demolition and drainage channel construction operations as part of the West Irving Creek Construction Project.
