Don't Trash Irving

The City of Irving’s new anti-littering initiative, “Don’t Trash Irving,” is a citywide effort to cut down littering in Irving’s roads, waterways, neighborhoods and green spaces.

The program includes an in-depth public awareness and education campaign that encourages people to place waste where it belongs — the trash.

‘Bend & Snap’ for a Cleaner Irving

Irving is also introducing a new, nostalgia-inducing, method to keeping the city clean and litter-free — the Bend & Snap. When residents encounter litter, they are encouraged to follow the two-step approach to clean up Irving: Bend down to pick up the litter, and Snap it into the nearest trash can. Residents can share a video of their Bend & Snap cleanup efforts with the city by tagging @thecityofirving on Facebook, Instagram or X for a chance to win a free mini car trash can or trash picker. Use the hashtags #DontTrashIrving and #BendAndSnap.

“Don’t Trash Irving” encourages the community to do their part and help keep Irving litter-free, utilizing fun and engaging messaging while conveying the importance of a clean city. The campaign leverages statistics and existing city programs to maximize impact and effectiveness.
