Homelessness Assistance

Need Housing Help?

Get Connected Through the Coordinated Access System (CAS)

The City of Irving’s Rapid Rehousing Program is now fully integrated into the Dallas Continuum of Care’s Coordinated Access System (CAS). CAS is a coordinated, community-wide system that ensures people experiencing homelessness are matched with the most appropriate housing and support services based on their needs. It provides a single, streamlined assessment process used across the region.

Individuals and families experiencing homelessness who would like to access the City of Irving’s Rapid Rehousing—or other regional housing programs—must visit a CAS Access Point location to complete an initial assessment. CAS Access Point staff will assist eligible households with referrals to appropriate housing and support services.

Important:

You cannot apply directly to the City for Rapid Rehousing. All referrals must come through a CAS Access Point.
