Rates + Fees

As a local government, funding for services is obtained through many revenue sources such as taxes, user fees, grants and rates.

A fee is a fixed price charged for a specific service each time it is performed, such as issuing a permit or renting a ball field. A rate is the amount charged regularly for a certain service, such as trash collection or water delivery.
