Thanksgiving Holiday

There will be no residential trash, curbside recycling and brush/bulky collection Thursday, Nov. 27 and Friday, Nov. 28 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Regular Monday/Thursday residential trash collection will resume on Monday, Dec. 1, and regular Tuesday/Friday residential trash collection will resume on Tuesday, Dec. 2. There will be regular trash collection on Monday, Nov. 24 and Tuesday, Nov. 25.


Recycling and brush/bulky collection scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 27 and Friday, Nov. 28 will resume on Thursday, Dec. 4 and Friday, Dec. 5, respectively.


The following city facilities will be closed Nov. 27-28:

  1. City Hall
  2. Criminal Justice Center
  3. Heritage Aquatic Center
  4. Hunter Ferrell Landfill
  5. Irving Animal Care Campus
  6. Irving Public Library branches
  7. North Lake Natatorium
  8. Recreation Centers

Irving Archives and Museum and Irving Arts Center will be closed Thursday, Nov. 27 and reopen Friday, Nov. 28. All other city offices and services will resume regular operations on Monday, Dec. 1.
