Statewide Emergency Alert Test
On Thursday, April 2, 2026, the Texas Division of Emergency Management will be conducting a statewide test of emergency alert systems between 10:00 AM and 12:30 PM.
During this time, communities across Texas will test their systems to notify the public during emergencies.
Depending on where you are during the test, you might receive a test alert on your mobile phone or hear outdoor warning sirens.
Because multiple jurisdictions across the region may participate, you may receive more than one test alert during the testing window.
Don’t worry – this is only a test. No action is required.
These tests help make sure emergency alert systems are working properly and allow agencies to evaluate how alerts are delivered so they’re ready when they’re needed most.
